"Jack be limbo, Jack be quick. Jack go unda limbo stick. All around the limbo clock. Hey, let's do the limbo rock." The sound of Chubby Checker was flowing out of the speakers at the Leadership Pickens Alumni Reunion. The Leadership Luau was a time to see old classmates, meet their spouses and make some business connections. Dressed Luau fashion, graduates of this year's class and previous classes enjoyed luau-style food and danced the night away to a variety of music. Sponsors for the event were: Chestatee State bank; Marty Callahan State Farm Insurance; Parish Lowrie Insurance; Trouts Beverage; and United Community Bank.

About 75 people were in attendance for the event destined to become an annual affair. The committee hopes many more will participate in next year's reunion. "An annual get-together is a fun way to keep in touch with those who have been a part of Leadership Pickens, in hopes they will continue to take an active part in our community," says Denise Duncan, Pickens County Chamber of Commerce President. "If you are a past graduate of Leadership Pickens, we would love to hear from you and get your updated information so that you can be a part of our reunions.
