"I have been involved in the Youth Leadership Pickens program for three years. YLP has not only given me friendships but it has also given me pride in knowing that I can make a difference in my community! YLP has helped me grow as a person while teaching me important life and leadership skills. I have thoroughly enjoyed working (and playing) with the group!" -Chelsea Owens
"Youth Leadership Pickens has helped me grow up. It has forced me to become a more responsible person and has shown me when you have a common goal, and can work as a team, anything is possible. When I interviewed for the Western Carolina University Leadership Institute the experience from YLC gave me confidence because I understood what leadership was all about. I just found out that I was accepted into the Leadership Institute and know that my time spent in YLP made it possible.
Thanks!" -Jack McIntyre
